NUIG Intervarsity Final 2019

We're back home for the big finale!

As always we have to thank the countless number of people that helped us get through the mountain of work required to make the event the great success that it was.

Big congratulations to everyone who took part in the last intervarsity competition of the season. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait to host again next year.

The weekend that every student archer looks forward to; National Student Indoor Championships

As always the guys over at UCC Archery organised a perfect shoot even with the change in venue.

Saturday saw the club putting itself in a great position for Sundays Head-to-Heads. Some PBs up and down the line including Captain Josh shows us that all of our hard work is paying off.

On Sunday came the much anticipated Head-to-Heads.

After some tense matches and a lot of one arrow shoot-offs, NUIG clubs up on the podium spots.

With Roisin Mooney, Ciara Douglas and Michael Higgins all taking gold, Shannon Russel-Cowen and Niamh Meyler taking silver and Josh Coughlan and Adam Fahey taking bronze in their respective categories, it's clear that we had a good day at the office.

After the individual head-to-heads, the focus moved onto the team events. After some tense matches all three NUIG teams; Recurve, Barebow and Compound all took home silver medals.

Some work to be done but to come home as the college with the most medals is certainly a great feeling.

Massive thanks to UCC Archery for hosting another brilliant weekend and we look forward to next year.
